It's a 'Happy Day' for two reasons: 1) We're excited to be launching our blog, and 2) Today marks my 11^th Wedding Anniversary, which ties into how Celestine's Weddings came to be. It’s truly hard to believe that eleven years ago (9.28.02), it was my special day - my wedding day. And, little did I (or Edie) know that it would lead to the start of our Santa Rosa Beach wedding catering and florist business just one year later.

I have enjoyed sifting through the albums of wedding photos from our entire wedding weekend: Seeing how some have changed, some have not; seeing photos of loved ones who are no longer with us; the cousins who seemed so young and are now in college or married with little ones. Reliving the day; our wedding day is a day in my life that I vividly remember the details of the entire day.

I have chosen a few pictures (I have no digitial images) to share with you of our day; to say that the wedding world in our area has changed a lot in eleven years is definitely an understatement.

I wish you the very best with your wedding planning and most of all, I hope you have as much fun as I did (and still do!) planning with your mom, fiancée, or whomever stands beside you as your "partner in planning". Planning your wedding is a time of joy and fun, and the wedding day should be the same. As one of my favorite quotes pertaining to wedding planning says:

“A Wedding is a party, not a performance. If at the end of the day you are married to the one you love, then everything went perfectly”.
